HKS oldschool boost guage sensor

Hey,

I got an oldschool HKS boost guage (stock amber type backlighting, exactly what I had been looking for) but he forgot to mention it was electronic, and didn't come with the sensor.
I found the part number from hks for the sensor I need, but its like 130 bucks or more, thats ridiculous.

Does anyone know if most electronic guages use the same voltage output ranges from the sensors? Or am I going to have to track down a specific hks sensor? I think i could rig something up somehow..

Anyone have one laying around?

Good luck with that. Theres plenty of these gauges without sensors than sensors without gauges. I know theres two versions of this gauge. Ive had two boost gauges and both had different plugs and sensors. I would keep checking ebay for a sensor. If you're lucky you'll run into an auction for a broken gauge w/sensor.

Nah, part numbers are different. Hell I don't even know if the part number from HKS will work anyway, its probably for the new style guages, and who knows if it'll work with mine. Maybe i'll have to try it out if I get desperate once the thing runs..
