Beautiful car man, but do you have any larger or more in depth/up close pics of the ground kit (locations not the "router" although that's koo too ). I'm curious as to where you actually grounded the points on your car. Once again, sweet car man...also got any more pics of the car?!?

Well, I took an S5 nose, shaved the embossed logo and cut out the grille, attached a mazdaspeed replica front spoiler with the JDM FTP lenses & some cool yellow raybrig bulbs (looks mean at night with the dims on). The skirts are by Kamanari and I think they look nice with the nose treatment as both ther skirts and the front lip follow the existing lines of the bodywork cleanly. At the rear I have S5 tail-lights and the "sport" model black spoiler but in the spring-time I do have an RE Amemiya type IV replica to put in (and shave the emblems back there as well). My fav part of the pics in this thread are the little things like the seats and Tein pillowball mounts. NA's can be serious cars too hehe

I'll take more pics tonight right when I leave the office (sunset, the best hehe) and hopefully some of you guys can host again (thanks by the way!!) I'll get the ground points as well...and thanks for the kind words

Jon

Damn nice car man.

Do you know if that kit would work in my car, 87 motor in an 84 body?

honestly if your cheap like me you can buy two 4 gauge ground wires at your local parts store from the battery and wire area. make sure you get it with two circle loop ends so you can screw them down tight . Do one from your battery to the body and another from the body to the engine...works very very well and the wires cost me around 3-5 bucks each depending on the length 24in and 36in. -Gabe

Do you think this kit is worth the $$$ to buy it, or would you say no?

I have respect for companies that do research and development and prove their work with numbers and statistics.

We also have a first-hand testimonial that it works.

Sure it is alot of money, just wait till it goes on sale, that's what I am going to do.

if anyone is interested in a group buy on the kit PM me and i'll see what I can work out. or e-mail at jrotaryb@hotmail.com i wouldn't have spent the money myself bc nobody had experience with it but now it's not unreasonable. making your own kit, like i said, is easy but if u want it complete and precut for the car w/ everything u need and nice hardware the kit is the way to go.

The only thing I am jealous of the Honda guys is for, is that companies make everything so cheaply(inexpensive) for their cars.

Look at this grounding kit!: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6776

Why doesn't someone just measure the length of all of the wires, and make their own? That's $25 of 8AWG wire, a few copper battery connectors, and a distrobution block. That's a $50 MAX total.

I'm not saying that I don't appreciate japanese manufacturers making parts for the FC... but a $150 pricetag on $50 of parts...

Seems like there is more to it than just wires, otherwise every ******* with wire would be doing it.

It seems like there's more to my post than just wires; try reading the whole thing, and UNDERSTANDING it next time.

The entire kit is wires (8AWG), connectors (2 Per Wire), and a distrobution block.

There's no more to porting than a template, an abrasive, a dremel, and some elbow grease... but you don't see every "*******" doing that either... do you?

Well us "********" with half a brain already have done it...

I used 8GA high strand count OFC power cable and gold plated ring terminals. 12' of cable and eight terminals cost me ~NZ$30 (~US$16) from an electronics supplier.
I ran one from the manifold to the firewall, one from the rear engine plate to the firewall and one from the battery negative terminal to one of the leading coil pack. I also added a power cable between the alternator output post and the battery positive terminal.
I personally think this is sufficient, and any more is just overkill. The HSK kit looks well made but just a tad OTT. The Japanese come up with some great product ideas but sometimes they don't know when to say when!
