hks boost controller, buzzing?

i have a hks boost controller, its the one with the clear buttons that lights up green/red when its on. also has a volume **** at the end of it... just wondering, does anybody get a buzzing sound when the car is started? its not like a redline or add coolant buzz, the buzzing goes on for 2seconds then off for 2seconds and repeat again. it buzzes instantly if i turn the boost controller on.. anybody else has this problem? btw, the buzzing is coming from inside the passenger dash area and my boost controller isnt working

I've got the same one. It's the solenoid inside that's opening and closing. That's part of how it constantly monitors manifold pressure, I believe.

It's neither fuzzy logic (on EVC III and up only) nor stepper motor (it's PWM control - the GReddy PRofec is one of the very few stepper motor controlled EBC's).

Yeah, it's just the solenoid under the hood cycling - the old one I had did the same thing. It's no big deal.
