Red face Smoking update, and appologies

Again, my appologies, for being so rude. Your help is fantastic and greatly appreciated.Dont fully understand how posting & threads work, so If Im doing it wrong, please advise. Re: Reccomended and little response, update. Pulled elec. connec. from all sensors, some corroded, cleaned . Tested BAC, AWS, Crank angle sensor, 1/2 TPS, got dark, all readings good. Error codes now 8, 12 & 18. Can do 12 & 18, but couldnt find test for MAF. ? Re smoke. Upon startup, better, but still noticeable until driving, then none. No oil in coolant or vice versa. Pulled EGI fuse, cranked motor, no bubbles in radiator, and also pulled leading plugs, no oil or coolant, plugs still new. Odor of exhaust, normal, others verified smell, leading plug wires were crossed though, now correct.Any ideas? Any help is great. Also, no fluid losses at all.

Thanks , The Dog

mine did that one day last week (of course, i turned off the car when it happened). but the car would start right up but start bouncing off the rev limiter at 7k. My throttle linkage to the omp was sticking badly. so i get some carb-cleaner and wd-40. worked well ever since. But, since you are running codes, i would look at the tps, and check for the correct voltage to the afm. you said it idles at a lesser rpm now, and it seems that was after you took things apart (i.e. throttle body and such) i am kind of new at this myself. but, i have owned this car for a couple years all ready, and i just research what basically screws up on my car at the moment. thankfully there wasnt a whole lot that was wrong with mine that involved very intricate work i suppose. I say just take off the tps and bac, and clean the **** out of'em. and while youre at it, make sure the correct resistance is maintained for the bac, and voltage for tps. but, i would also check for the throttle linkages being stuck or gooey. that grease from a decade ago is bound to get sticky some...or just really really gritty from all the dirt in the engine bay. should be a bit easier for n/a Rx.

Not sure if that helps at all, but good luck.
Ryan Shannon.

ps...Patience is the key to owning a 7. if you dont have it, then youre just gonna get pissed off 90% of the time you own the vehicle.

i also think that the omp may be blame for some of this. i have had mine stick once or twice and it made it smoke. i would have thought bad coolant seals but level never changed. but to be sure it should have a pressure test done on the cooling system. it is going to be the most efficient and accurate way to tell if the seals are bad. you most likely wont see coolant in the oil or vise versa due to way each system is sealed. most seal failures are the inner coolant oring only allowing coolant to leak into the combustion chamber, which unlike a piston engine, cant dump past into the oil pan. i think you may want to acquire the factory service manual or any repair manual and read read read. get the basics down, read the faqs, learn to love your car while it runs and while it sits!

O.K., I've seen enough of this thread I posted, when I was young and dumb and full of cummmmmmmmmm, so please get rid of this thing. I'm smarter now, and the car is running like a brand new set of factory bought double DD's. Thanks again for all the advice. P.S., Daphne thanks you all for slapping the dog in the nose, and making him read. I don't care what all us newbies think, the answers to all your questions are there, just get off your lazy asses and read. Thats what this dog did, and now I'm a pure breed newbie. Lots of luck, and if you cant find answer, throw it to me on a PM and Ill do the research for you, for a couple of bones, of course.
