High Oil Pressure

Recently my 87 Turbo II has been running hot and has had high oil pressure. I changed the oil filter and oil cooler. The oil cooler seems to have made the pressure go higher. its at about 60 psi at 1500 rpm and goes all the way to 110 soon after. Any suggestions as to what else could be wrong? Thanks.

I forgot to mention smoke comes out of the tail pipes in the upper RPMS when I let off the gas....the source appears to be from before the engine b/c I have a slight intake leak where my ACV block off plate is and smoke comes out of that....maybe a turbo oil return line is blocked or something? Is that common?

My '87 TII did the exact same thing...would just totally peg the pressure guage.....it was verified as having normal pressure by a real guage, tho.

Usually, oil smoke on throttle lift indicates dying turbos...my '94 does it when I keep the turbos spooled up all the way to redline in 4th, then I lift off the throttle 'cause I'm out of road. Combine that with oil before the combustion chamber, and that would imply that your turbo bearings are leaking on both the turbine and compressor side, so yes it could be a coked up return line. What kind of mileage and maint. history do you have on the car?

I just took my oil pan off and there wasnt very much debris in there...I cleaned everything really well and Im waiting on the new engine enamel on the oil pan to dry before I put it back on. The oil didnt look bad so I dont think this will fix it but it was leaking anyway. I have a feeling its a bad sender or gauge. I have extras of both. I will keep you guys updated.
