FL High oil pressure

i have a rebuilt motor with a fd oil regulator and shimmed front regualtor. my car a crazy lot when its cold but seems to go away as it warms up. i have notice that the oil pressure is pretty high when cold.
bout 60-70 psi at idle (1k rpms) and 120 psi at 3k rpms.
when its warm its bout 30 psi at idle and maybe 90 psi at 3k.

the smoking is really annoying, i blocked off OMP and ih ave a 60-1 turbo but i dont think i have a restrictor pill in the oil line to turbo, could this be my smoking problem?
also i have a catch can with a vent (one side to oil filler tube and other to port on center iron)
any ideas?

How are you measuring the pressure?

Something doesn't make sense then.
The FD regulator bypasses at 85psi, so it shouldn't be possible to see 120psi when cold or even 90psi when warm.

What weight oil (not that I think it really matters)?

I was going by the valves that Mazdatrix sells..."stock" (no relief pressure given), "high performance" (bypass at 80-85psi) or "competition" (105-115psi).

Yes, and those describe STOCK FC3S, RACING BEAT STREET, and RACING BEAT COMPETITION...OPR's.
If you don't believe me, just do look at the Racing Beat website.
It has nothing to do with the stock FD3S OPR.
