High IDLE PROLEM HELP!!!

I'm a new member to this website, actually fairly new to the rotary technology. I actually came from club4ag, (ae86), however I have a rebuilt 13BT in the 86 right now. I've had it for about 2 months now, but just recently after I run it hard for awhile my idle jumped to 2000rpm!!!! I was wondering if anyone has had an idle problem where if you run the car hard continuously the idle jumps up and stays there. WHen I first got the project finished, the idle was good, it remained between 700-800rpm, but now it's stuck at 2000rpm. Since I'm farily new at rotaries still can someone tell me how I can turn down the idle on a Kouke Turbo II model.. I have the 91 model. I've been hearing that there are 6 adjustments to make...Can someone help me? thanks a lot

Eric

Eric, what's up? This is Alexander, with the TII; we spoke last at In-n-Out.

It could be several things, but if it suddenly jumped I'd bet you have vacuum leak. Check all vacuum lines after the throttle plates, and your upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. If I remember correctly, you have your AVC blocked off, but check the gasket there as well. Pretty much anything that sees vacuum, should be suspect.

I had my lower intake manifold gasket go bad the other week; I saw my idle jump to about 1300 RPM. PM me if you have any questions.

check the bac valve. There should be a screw inside a hole that you adjust with a flat head. turning it clockwise lowers the idle and vice versa to higher it. Also check the throttle cable or TB and see if there is something stuck. It can also be that you got a major vac leak somewhere on the manifold. I would suggest to play around with the TB and see if it opens and closes correctly.. I had this happen to me when I rebuilt my motor but it was because the TB that came with the motor, the springs werent closing the plates properly.

well check the vac leaks, that or your BAC needs cleaning, take it out and spray Intake Cleaner in it until the liquid comes out clean. change your BAC gasket too.. thats what happened to me.....

if u want to use the BAC idle adjust screw, remember to jumper (S4) the green connector next to the leading coil pack, ground it if u have an S5. or else the BAC will automatically reset what u just did with the idle adjust screw.
