High idle

Ok, I took my car to the shop to get my TPS adjusted and have my Timing corrected. I took it to Ortiz's sop in Orlando. Well, I got my TPs adjusted and my timing corrected, and it was working fine for a while. When I stop at a light, it would idle at 750, and in Park it would idle at 1500. Once i got halfway home, it started acting up again. Instead of idling at 750 once I stopped at a light, it would stall. They guessed on my Timing. So what I did once I go home, I decided to adjust my CAS and from left to right, I moved it back to the right a little bit to bring my idle down like it did before whenever I moved it to the right. Upon doing that, my idle shot up from 1500 to 2000 and now 2500. I'm assuming by me moving my CAS, it's not ocrrected with my TPS? I have no clue what to do, and I really don't want to go back up to Ortiz's, since they guess at timing and not use a timing gun. Any solutions on how to stop this high idle?

I would stake whatever reputation I have that there is a vacuum leak causing the problem. Check all the plenums from the AFM to the engine - make sure there are no cracks and the clamps are tight.
Next would be to replace all the rubber hoses on the top of the engine. I replaced these first and got idle down from 3000 to 1500, but nothing else I did helped get it any farther down.
Finally, I found a small split in the 3in plenum that connects the AFM to the Turbocharger inlet. I sealed it with RTV and clamped the crap out of it. Now, the idle is ROCK solid at 750. I had to tweak the TPS a bit after that because of all the dinkin' around I did trying to fix it before I found the leak.

That's what I'll wager is your trouble.

Vac leak, eh? I'll look into that. "Every action has a reaction." I turned my CAS all the way to the left, which brought the idle down from 2400rpms, to 1800rpms. Once at a stop light, it idled at 750. On the flipside, no power what so ever. I will check into the vac leak, though.

vac leak indeed, spray the engine with carb cleaner and listern for a change in idle
and you will have it located in no time
oh and go buy a $20 timing light and $20 manual and time it your self

A friend tod me about one for $25, so i'm going to go get that one, and I can get the manual for $15 at his former auto store. As for the timing light, when I put it on whatever it needs to be put on, the red mark should line up with the red pin, same goes for yellow, right? One thing that had me worried was when I started it cold, instead of going to 3k, it shot up to 3500rpms, and wow, it was smokey as hell. I also noticed that I had an exhaust leak. I should've left the guys job alone and dealt with it, but nope, I jsut had to try to make things better, but instead it became worse.
