High Idle (1500 - 2000 RPMS)

So I had an atomizer run through my fuels system to clean it out (done by a Mazda dealership) a couple of weeks ago, and my idle has been at about 1500 - 2000 RPMS ever since. I was told that this is normal and the comp would reset itself eventually, but I've driven it plenty of miles and the car has been completely warmed. Any thoughts? Wait it out? Adjust the TPS maybe?

Thanks.

I would look for a vacuum line bumped off. We use the new bg setup at my work which doesnt require a vacuum source but a lot of the older ones do.

The reason took it in was because of the 3.8k hesitation, and now it runs fine after it was warmed up.

I took a drive today and it's dropped to a bit above 1k. Thoughts?

try checking your TPS (throttle position sensor) there are right ups on how to make ghetto testers using LED's. Did you try simply re adjusting your idle properly via FSM. vac leaks are a good place to start but usualy they create pulse idle issues or stalling at idle

I was gonna check the TPS with a multimeter first. Think i should just adjust the screw on top?

Maybe the atomizer (?) cleaned out a partially clogged idle bypass passage. If that is true, you should be able to reset the idle down to the proper rpm using the idle adjust screw.

I had high idle on my T2 and it was because the thermowax system on the throttle body wasn't working.
