Exclamation Hi guys, i'm sorry. i have a question about TII motors

a drive a NA fc with alot of problems. i almost gave up on it untill a few days ago some random kid from my school said he has a turbo fc in his woods that starts. so i was wondering is the TII motor any different from the NA? (besides being turbo'd ofcoarse) and if so what is?

thanks guys

There are a lot of differences

my suggestion would be to take the entire drivetrain and engine management out of the other car and put it in yours.

honestly I wouldn't do ANYTHING toyour car untill you know exactly what's wrong with yours as it is now. depending on what's wrong with it, swapping over the turbo parts may not fix it. then think how pissed you'll be when you put all that time and work into the swap and you have the same issues.

it used to cut off alot whenever i turned left, but it randomly stoped doing that. It doesn't seem to have as much power as it used to (sometimes, sometimes it does) and my shifter shakes sometimes now. also sometimes it doesn't start. but if i just let it sit for about an hour it does. but it will blow smoke for a bit. haha it's really frustrating so i haven't been driving it for about month now. I have a cheap autozone cone filter on it, and alot of the times i pop the hood and it's fallen off. and the gas tank is filthy! the gas comes out pretty much brown.

thanks so much for your guys' help! i really appreciate it

UH..lemme see.
the reason why the car shuts off when you turn left is your Fuel sock IN the tank is Dirty..*(you said the gas tank is Filthy!..how can the car run good when you don't address that problem??)..price..10 bucks
The shifter shakes..get new shifter bushings..20 bucks
the car doesn't Start sometimes..Did you ever think that it was DIRT in the Gas Tank?>Clogged Fuel filter..Cost 30 bucks(oem)
Autozone filter Falls Off!..Oh God..get an OEM filter.8 bucks
Brown gas.,.Again..Clean the gas tank!
..So 60 bucks fixes this car
the only reason why it is Running Crappy is you aren't Maintaining the Car.
I'm Sorry to come off like an OLD Fart..But I AM.(not a Teenager ..anymore..BY far)..
So,Please, don't go and put yourself in "the hole" with another car..especially If you can't afford it..and especially if you are going to look after it like this one
but,I gave you the info you need to fix it,so it's up to you what you want to do...Cheers,STYX.

drain it?! wow i feel dumb. so i'm guessing if i drain it i should clean it and hopefully that will fix it? but yeah i've actually replaced the pump, sock, and filter. Twice! haha i wasn't sure if it was bushings or my motor was shaking it. but like you said, "But I AM.(not a Teenager ..anymore..BY far).." so i'm going to do what you said,

seriouly though thank you all.
i am a teenager, haha and not nearly as smart as you guys and not afraid to addmit it! i learn from you guys! and my mistakes apparently

probably
a clogged fuel filter
clogged injectors (get em cleaned or buy new ones)
old dirty gas
low fuel pressure (buy a higher psi fpr)
fuel pump needs replaced

sounds like the car hasn't been maintained since the 80's when it came with a factory warranty.

just do those little things I listed and the car will drive like a new one. Or Keep starving it for fresh clean fuel and your going to run lean and pop a seal. Which is more expencive and more labor?
Ask me how I know that....

alright i'll do ALL of these things!!
haha two more questions! i'm sorry guys, i'm learning here!
but yeah i got it about a year ago and the previous owner had let it sit for a few years (i guess that explains alot) but i'm really broke so i don't need to drive it untill i do all of this right? sitting as long as it's in a garage is ok right?

and my dumbass autotech teacher put one of my sparkplugs in with an impactgun because some other kid crose threaded it
is there anyway to fix that?

haha again i can't thank you guys enough for your help!!

yeah thats what i was planning on doing i hate to do it. but i guess thats what it takes. haha i'm just going to keep it in the garage untill it's fully built. then when i drive it everybody will be like "damn i thought he drove a shitty car!" hahaha it will be funny

haha i want to go widebody, with coilovers and some deepdish wheels
but get the ol' ca running good first ofcoarse!
haha any sudgestions on cheap companys for these parts?
these are the cheapest coilovers i've found http://phantasmusa.com/d2m012.html
does anybody know of cheaper ones? haha

fix it first...then worry about mods...and if you can't afford the $100 it's going to cost you to fix the fuel issues (that includes getting your injectors cleaned..do it!), your not going to be able to afford any mods like that anytime soon.

haha yeah i know it's going to take me awhile to do that, but there can't be any harm in dreaming. and looking for parts so i know what i want to do! haha

the reason i can't afford parts now is because i had a great job over the summer. i did construction, but i can't do that and go to school
and i had to blow all of the money i made on a lawyer
