One is the mechanical OMP instead of the electrical OMP.
There are many other differences between. Maybe the second is the metal thermostat housing on the water pump? dunno.

With a S5 computor you need to use the s5 electric OMP

You'll need the S4 front cover and OMP unless you plan on going standalone or switching to a S5 ECU.

The front cover will work, but is it still possible becuase there is a gear mechanism inside there that needs to turn the omp for the s4.. not to sure if those are interchangable.

Just to clear things up for me....a 'front clip' is just the firewall and forward right?

if you try to write your own thread about the same thing some one else is the mods erase it and say search likke they told me.so i come across this 1.the same exact topic.it might have gotten a little off topic.i apologize for that.and i stated when i first got on it that i was not trying to.and if this is the only help you think you are given. its not all that great.the front clip with everything was just shy of $2200.its a 92 mark V 2nd gen s5.
