Hey! Quick Exhaust Questions for ya guys

Hello,

I have RB headers, bonez high flow cat, Greddy sp knock off cat back.

My cat has clogged and i want to purchase a bonez race pipe. My question is this: do you guys know of any problems I might encounter with replacing the cat. Would the race pipe slide right in? My main concern is fitment issues.

And if you have any experience( good or bad) with the race pipe let me know!

Thanks alot, Micah

The RB header is somewhat short by a few inches and most basic test pipes won't fit.

I say buy their presilencer. Then it should should for sure fit.

Yeah, I've never heard of a test pipe made to fit between the RB header and the catback. I also say get the presilencer. For one, its gauranteed to fit and very well made. Second, and more importantly, it will GREATLY help the sound of the exhaust. It gets rid of the high pitched buzz that comes with headers and gets very annoying over time.

Will it greatly affect my sound? I honestly love the sound of my car...in what ways does it alter it?

Replacing a cat with a straight pipe will make it much, much louder, the pre-silencer will keep the noise levels about where they are now.

Will a pre-silencer "muffle" my sound. Because once I go over 4500 my car ******* screams and I love it and would rather drive around with a clogged cat., than lose that aspect.

pre-silencer will muffle it some. If you really want to make it scream rig up a pressure based exhaust cut-out before the cat and have it open using the same system as the aux ports. It will dump the exhaust straight from the manifold and it will be completely unfiltered.
