Hesitation !? This is a weird one.
Ok,so a few days ago I thought I had it all fixed--I did few things and it had been ideling for about 20 minutes,Its was pretty warm that day almost 70.The car ran great.Nowthe next day take it to work, motor is cold, and its cold outside and it did the samething but later that day car was warm and it was warm outside drove perfect again. Now today, its back to being cold outside and even though I drove it about 15 miles,it never quit hesitating real bad.So Its leading me to beieve it has something to do with the weather--if its cold, runs like ****,warm outside runs great. Its a 86 gxl

k&N intake
5&6 ports wired open
Is there a sensor or something that with cold weather could cause this.
afm maybe?

When the weather gets bad do you turn on a lot of appliances?
Examples of stuff used more in bad weather Headlights, fans, wipers...
All that stuff going your car will slow down because of it not getting as much voltage, and hesitation would exemplify with a bad battery or alternator or other electric issue.

Its not a voltage problem--I dont turn anything on cold or hot.
Becides I am running 2 yellowtop optimas and a ohio generator alternator
that puts out plenty of power to run the entire car with everything wide open and not cause it to lose anypower.
Like I said major issues only when its cold outside.

i'd like to bump b/c my car started to do the same damn thing, it's not the 3800 hesitation, it's a violent hesitation when i give it more than i'd say 1/4 throttle...it jerks like crazy. i drove it about 2 miles to a destination last night, then started it up, boosted a few times, then she started jerking like nuts...any ideas?

Well even though someone on here said adding grounds is wrong just fix the ones you have is all you need to do(bullshit)I replaced, the ecu, injectors, new wirring harness.Nothing corrected the problem. After I read someones post about adding grounds,I added one from the boost sensor to the water filller neck and --what do ya know.Car runs perfect!!!No hesitation at even the 3800 rpm.And my car ran like dog **** after 1/4 throttle. One ground took care of it.
