what would cause this

today i was just driving around and i stop at a stop light. i put it in neutral and stop right. well it turns green and i cant shift into first. i could in 3rd and fourth but not first and barely second. but thats not all. i was pulling to a stop sign, stopped again of course, barely got it in first. some one had to go first before me and while i was waiting at the stop, my car shuttered like i was letting off. hopefully u can tell me what is up and that its easy to fix and pretty cheap. thank u and good night

i can tell u the fluid isnt low for the clutch. the throw out bearing is where and what, how much and how hard to change. if my tranny fluid was low, what would that cause, in my scenario

if it even is this^^^ low tranny fluid will destroy your gears and lock up tranny...
there are 2 bolts on the tranny... the fill bolt is located on the side of the tranny which you can reach while car is jacked up or on stands... it should be level(the car) when you check ..use your finger and it should be level with the hole your checking..
the bearing... you need to take out tranny ... should just get a new clutch while your at it..

dude your throwout bearing is bad. This is a common problem withthe factory units on all gens of 7's. The stock clutch is a peice of crap and should be replaced with a better one. A factory mazda bearing will typically last for 10k miles before it starts to chatter. But then again it all depends on the driver too. I have had them go out at 2 or 3 k miles. They are very cheap from napa, pep-boys etc. And any tranny place will install for about 100 bucks.

As a matter of fact i always kep a new on handy.

like a whirring noise when the clutch is not engaged and then goes awya when the pedal is on the floor. DOnt freak out this is a common problem with all fc's it is not your tranny it is your throwout bearing.

how does the pedal feel? your clutch master can be failing internally

i doubt you will find any worth a sh#* to install a throw out barring for a 100 bux

Your shifter bushing is shot. Take the shifter out and replace the bushing.
