hesitation just before redline

Im having some hesitation between 7500 and 8000 rpm. The engine stumbles a few times in that range, then at 8K, feels normal, and pulls like crazy until the rev limiter. I believe it is ignition related, but it is not with the plugs or wires, both are pretty new. I have my timing advanced, and I tried retarding it back to normal, and it made it worse. Much worse, the engine felt like it was really struggling for those 500 rpm. Could this have something to do with my Crane ignition? I have the rev limiter on the crane set to 8800 rm, same as the fuel cut the stock ECU uses. Any ideas?

Yep, mine did the EXACT same thing. Problem: Faulty Throttle Position Sensor. Specifically its giving the computer BAD readings at WOT. The computer goes crazy does all sorts of crazy things. Solution: Get a good Throttle Position Sensor. Problem will be GONE!

Agreed. I had all the same symptoms on my TII and the TPS was to blame.

Let me tell you something about TPS reports.

Drift, is there any way that you can NOT bring back 3 year old threads? IT'd be much appreciated.

At least he is searching Kevin . Better than half the other new forum members that post the same sh*t we had yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that. At least this isn't wasting more bandwith lol.

Seriously though, if all you are going to say is "yeah, me too" to a 3 yr old post why not just leave it dead?
