Hesitation Fixed.
I finally got my damn 3800 rpm hesitation fixed (actually it didnt really hesitation, the secondaries wouldn't come on at all and it would just bog over 3800 under a load) i bought that resistor pack and replaced it. NO MORE PROBLEMS. please ask any questions you have and i'll be glad to help you replace this unit.

That damn thing?! Extra ground wires got rid of my hesitation temporarily, but never quite eliminated it. I'll try this when I get a chance.
Btw, there's at least one guy out there who got rid of the hes. by replacing their O2 sensor. Not a cheap fix.

yeah amur, it totally fixed my problem... for you other guys: I CANT FIND THAT PICTURE. HAILERS is the one who posted it on here, i printed it out and took it to the junkyard and bought the little resistor pack. it was 15 DOLLARS. (the junkyard doesnt know what anything is so they just charged me 15 bucks) its really simple. it is a little silver box that is 1"X3.5" right under where the airbox would be. all you do is unbolt it and put the new one in. it has a good sized plug. see if you can search through HAILERS' posts from the last 2 weeks and find it. i'll try to take a picture of my old one for you guys but no promises.

What if you don't have one of these hooked up??? Are they found on all the models or only on an N/A or turbo????
Anyone got real pictures of it in an engine bay????? Thanks.

Nope. Only on 86-87s. They used low resistance injectors. 88 and up used high resistance. The solenoid resistor I think is just to bump the resistance of the injectors.
86-87: 1.5-3 Ohms
88-later: 12-16 Ohms

All the stuff I've read on the hesitation on the 88-and-up FCs were due to bad grounding from the ECU, so if you clean up the ground real good, it takes care of it. Maybe a Hyperground system would work, I don't know.

you are correct, domest. Mostly, it is grounding of the ECU. Get a wire brush and some WD40 and have at it, or use a tough sandpaper. dont forget, coat your ground (with the bolt and wires and whatnot under the coat) with something to seal it from rust.
