Hesitation

Can anyone tell me or help me with this problem? My car hesitates when im at WOT from any rpm any when I look at my A/F meter it goes off the scale on the lean side but if I let off the gas a little and give it half or 3/4 throttle its fine. I checked all the hoses for cracks nothing. I just did the TID mod because it was cracked? I grounded the boost sensor. And I installed new plugs and wires. Would a seal on the turbo cause this? I need to rebuild it or upgrade but want to fix this first. Anything I should look for? What should I do? Please someone help I hate getting beat by slow *** cars.

Are you sure that you have adequate fuel supply?
i.e. fuel pump, fuel filter etc?

I have 850cc secondaries, but dont know how old they are. I have the stock fuel pump and I dont know when the fuel filter was changed last. Could that do all this to my car?

Maybe you're running too rich. My car had serious hesitation until I leaned it out, up to -20% on my SAFC. It's still running a little rich, but it doesn't hesitate nearly as bad as it used to. I see you have 850cc secondaries. From what I can tell, that's a little much for your mods. I'm not sure, just a thought.

But when I give it full throttle the a/f meter goes off the scale on the lean side.

With 850cc secondaries, you shouldn't be leaning out. My guess is you either have a clogged fuel filter or you need to upgrade to a TII fuel pump. When was the last time you changed the filter?

Fuel filter, dont know if it was changed yet. I do have a TII fuel pump. How much are fuel filters? Are they easy to change?

Very easy. Open the hood and look down the driver's side next to the firewall all the way at the bottom. Two bolts and two hose clamps. About a 20 min job.

Fuel filters aren't that much. I don't think they're any more than $10.

Could a dirty or old fuel filter cause my problem?

Absolutely. Clogged filters can only put out so much compared to new.

I noticed you had a TID mod.&nbsp Is your airflow meter in the correct position?&nbsp This should be with the black plastic cover up or the cross-ribbed side up.&nbsp If it isn't, this can cause hesitation...
