I will defer to someone who knows the answer to your question. You could use the "advanced search function" for I've seen threads involving the same issue, that being the Allen screw was fiddled with.

i forgot to mention that while replacing some of the hoses today i broke something. there are a couple of plugs under the Bac. one has a oragne dot and the other i think is white or yellow dot. anyway i broke the tab or what ever it is off the back side of the one with the orange dot. what is that and will it work with out the piece i broke off?

It's the EGR solenoid and it's not needed. When you say tab are you referring to the nozzle or the fastening clip underneath or the round filter?

If you used a new UIM gasket, no. Else, I would let it dry at least an hour. The engine heat will dry it so you will be fine. Im not sure what temperature the blue RTV is rated at if you used is by itself with no UIM gasket. I use the copper RTV when using it on anything engine related due to its high temp resistance.

so i got all the vac hoses changed out and shes running really good except for idleing at 2000 rpm. i let her run for about 30 min before i took her out for a drive. all went just fine. no hestitations or anything whet so ever. i idled down with the air adjust screw and brought it down from about 2300rpm. what could be causing the idle to be so high?
