Help! Worse than 3800 rpm hesitation
I had an primary injector seal go bad (I Think) and caused a small fire at the front of the engine, damaged mostly the oil lines and wiring harness, made a mess. I was able to replace everything and got another engine harness off ebay. I got the car running but soon it starting missing and no power above the 3800-4000 rpm mark when you are accelerating hard. The only difference I can find is the harness is apparently from an N/A 87 model and mine is an N/A 88. The harness I have installed has an additional solenoid resisitor that the orginal harness did not have. The car ran great for a week or so, then started acting like the secondaries are not coming on at all. Car runs fine as long as you do do rev past 4000 rpm. I have checked the injector plug and it gets fire with the ignition on and also shows ground when you rev it up past 4000 rpm. Could this solenoid resistor be bad, do I need it, will it work on my car. Any help appreciated, this thing has drove me crazy for 2 months now. Thanks!
