Exclamation HELP! what did I fry? pics inside

yeah, looked under my hood today and found this :S

I dont' know if you can see it but those two wires in the first picture burnt off of the nut just to the right and down of the 6 ports.

The second pic is of the plug that it used to go in and the wires that burnt off.

The third pic is of the nut it came off of.

Does anyone know what it is that this used to hook up to?

I am guessing our cars are getting older and they aren't exactly know for their great electronics...anyway, not to sound like a newb, but what does that thing do?

my biggest question is does this affect the performance of my car? will my 6 ports still open up? it looked like it shorted out so what all do you think I would need to check?

allows "port air" from the airpump to enter the exhaust system until the odometer hits 20,000 miles, for emissions, I presume...I'm sure you're over 20K now, so don't worry about it- just make sure you isolate the B/W wire from ground- it's got 12v on it (check your EGI COMP fuse in the engine compt, also, in case you blew it)...the solenoid plunger will stay closed in the ACV, so you don't have to remove the solenoid, it's not gonna hurt anything...
