Help! Weird Starting Issue!
Well I replaced my alternator, seem to be working fine. then another day I decided to change the coolant and replace thermostat. While taking the thermostat I was listening tunes from the car sterio for about 10 min.
A couple days have passed while waithing for the thermo to arrive, then when It did-
I put new thermo in, new coolant in, now waiting to start so I could bleed air from coolant the car won't crank, was getting 0v so I jump started and the car cranks really slow- there is a cliking sound at starter, and i smeeled gas so I thought it was probably flodded, so I used the old tecnique disconected harnes at fuel pump until it started for about 4 sec ( for the fuel to burn) then it when off so I plug it back now like I do when its flooded and it would start but this time it just continued to crank really slow.
while cranking it the car is connected to a booster battery so there is no reason why it would crank really slow.
there is a strong smell of gas from exhaust.
the car is a 86 sport model.
With out the bosster batt the car does not crank at all, I get 0 v and not even the horn works. even right after I disconnected from the bosster batt.
What could be the cause of this??
What should I start searching for?
