the only thing i can come up with is that somthing is wedged or stuck or on to tightly that wont let my starter turn my motor over.

Can you turn the engine over by hand?

Take the starter off, and se what it does when you apply power directly to it.

Also, your flywheel is good and matches your transmission right, NA or turbo?

Have you tried jumping the solenoid directly?

Is the battery good?

Are the cables and terminals good?

is current going to the starter solenoid wirE?

Are you getting Power to the Starter?..Did you replace the Starter recently?..If so,Then you have most likely Missed putting the Ground Wire Back on the Long Bolt that goes through the Bell housing and Rear Iron.it Is Part of the wiring Harness that Attaches To that Long UPPER starter bolt,.and it is located Under the Oil Filter(around that area). If not Check your Main Fuse..

The starter solenoid has ONE cable attached to the solenoid. It is the positive cable from the battery.

The ground for the circuit is from the negative cable of the battery being connected to the long bolt that holds the starter on or you can attach it to any of the bolts that hold the transmission to the engine. Either way works for the ground.

That is all that is needed. If you take the shank of the screwdriver and make connection b/t the small blade connector on the solenoid and the large cable attached to the solenoid, then the engine will turn over.

You connect NOTHING to the other nut/post on the starter solenoid.

i'm having the same problem right now and i might just buy dynomite for both of us
ill keep you posted, check your clutch switch it might be bad/not pluged in, try jumping the connector on the harness and depending if you have one, see if you neutral switch on the tranny is bad/jump it. just dont start the car in gear lol.

Edit: o i guess problem solved? what do you mean by jumpers cables?

i was trying to bypass everything and use jumper cables to just run the starter directly off a battery but they had alot of current loss through them(the wires wernt thick enough)
