HELP! Water leak into cabin from front windshield

The driver side floor is soaked after rain - can't seem to figure out where the leak is coming from, but it seems like it's coming from the windshield? Anyone else with this or a similar problem?

i got something like that too. mines coming from the top corners (i got it from both sides) of the windshield. the only thing is for you to track the leak and seal it. if its from the windshield, the shops will do it but it will cost you. or maybe they won't since they'll risk breaking your window in the process. you can get the sealant from a window shop. the dude at the window shop i went to said they carried some so it shouldn't be hard to track the sealant down.

good luck with sealing it. i've had mine since i bought my car 2 years ago and i haven't even had time to track it down on a good summer day (always working).

Before you guys go and start breaking glass like I did... do both of you have a sun/moon roof? If you do take off both A-pillars and check to see if there is a drain line from the roof to the left drivers kick panelon the drivers side and/or one running to the right pass. kick panel. Last time I had a customer complain of a leak like that, it was that line, not the windshield. Found that out after I cracked the windshield looking for a leak. I could be wrong, but I would rather be wrong than have two fellow 7 drivers crack glass. Just my two cents.

leak is apparent when I pour water onto the windshield - comes out somewhere on the inside of the left fender.

Guess that rules out the sunroof on this one...

I was thinking that the leak was coming in from beneath the windshield (by the wiper hinges) - does anyone know how that water is supposed to be routed out? Does it just flow out of the engine bay, or is it channeled?

i got my checked...seems the previous owner install a windows since the orginal broke. i had the dash off and what remnants were left under there. the beads of sealant on the glass itself is not constant and is broken in two spots...both over the top corners of the windshield. i can see light going through. water seeps right through when i pour water over it.

its very tight so i have NO IDEA how to get the sealant in there. maybe sealant through a syringe can get to that spot. any idea?

If you wanna find your leak do this...

Take a cup of water and put some dish soap in it...give it to buddy
Get inside your car with an airblower and stick it on the glass pointing up behind the headliner kinda

Get your buddy to follow you across the window, pouring the water out along the way as you blow

Where ever you see bubbles, its leaking

THEN - once youve found the leaks blow the window dry....very dry....then do it once more.

Take windshield urethane on the INSIDE of the glass, pull your headlnier back slighty ( may have to take the int. light/rearview mirror off if it leaks there) and caulk all the spots - make sure to pump it in good.

If this doesn't get it you'll have to caulk from the outside as well which means mutilating your upper most windshield moulding.

If you've gotta do that, call me.hehe
