Question HELP! turbo very hot

i just dropped a motor in my 87 TII. It is heavily ported with a light exhaust port. the 2 major prob are on start up she always smokes from a 2 rich condition. 2 The turbo stays red hot glowing even idling. Ive played with the timing but if i get the glowing to go away the car runs like crap( retarded timing). anybody have any ideas? stock Ecu and turbo.

You need to set your tps. You're just running rich.
