help with tune up
I'm changing the fuel filter soon and had some questions,
To depressure the system I hear you can disconnect a relay under the dash, does anyone know where exactly this is located?
Two, I hear I should clean my injecters first, the only problem is that I can't have my car out for too long (now I know why its good to have extra parts). I was wonderin if those fuel cleaner fluids were any good? If they are, which brand?
Thanks

use it.
you have 847 posts and you dont know how to change a fuel filter?
why would you clean the injectors before you remove the clogged fuel filter? the cleaner will flow better with a new filter. those cleaners dont really work anyway. take your car to a dealer and spend a few bucks to clean them professionally.

i know how to change a fuel filter, its just i dont want to take apart my carpeting just to depresurize the fuel system. i hear theres a relay under the dash thats an EASIER access.

you have 362 post and you didnt know everything on that link can be found here on this site?
also i think i would have to remove the injectors to have them clean. i dont think anyone down here offers the serivice of cleaning them by bringing the car in.
anyways , if anyone knows the wiring colors and/or location to the relay please post.
thanks

you dont really take it apart, you just lift up the rear carpet. it's all a 1 piece thing. it's EASIER than screwing around under the dash.
as for the injectors, they install this machine and run it, under pressure, with injector cleaner. i've had it and the car runs awesome after that.

its in the engine bay near the driver side firewall all the way at the bottom. its easier to reach from under the car so get a jack. also remember to unpressurized the fuel system. disconnect the yellow plug with the white connector under the steering wheel while the car is running. or you can do it like what is mentioned above.
