help!! temp guage goes to h

help!! temp guage goes to h

ok just finished my swap wired everything up and now my temp guage goes to h as soon as i turn the key, and the cars off. what up with that? please help me asap thanks

Wiring reversed? Since it goes to C when everyone else turns theres off.

sounds like the coolant temp sender wire is grounding out somewhere. pull it off the sensor under the oil filter and recheck it, if it still goes to H then trace the wire back and see if it is pinched anywhere.

i thought the coolant temp. sensor was in back of the waterpump.. is it the yellow wire by the oil filter?

Yup, it's proberly grounded somewhere

Yes it's the yellow/red wire near the oil filter.
