Help, sunroof alignment pin out too far!
These two pictures show the alignment pins on each side of the sunroof track, this weekend the roof failed to close down, now I know why!
What I don't know is how to get this pin back in and how to get both side back in alignment. As you can see from the pictures one pin is so
far out it hits the plastic channel, as you can also see it is about 15mm further back then the other side!
A permanent fix would be the best but for right now I would settle fo getting the roof closed down all of the way, its going to rain!
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, TIA !

That's a weird one. Those pins should be at the same point along the track on each side. If they're misaligned, it must be because the cable driving the one farther back must have skipped some teeth (or stripped them) where it's driven by the motor. That's the only thing I can think of which would make the sides out of alignment with each other. That'd also explain why the roof won't close. If it is the cables, you've gotta take out the whole assembly to fix it.

I really didn't want to hear that the whole thing had to come out to fix the alignment, no short cuts?
I am really stuck on how to get that pin back in place?
I was using the emergency handle, wow is it usually that hard to turn? I'm surprised that the motor can move it at all?
Does anybody have a good write up on the R&R of the sunroof?
Thanks!
