Help!! S5 N/A swap problems

I just swapped a new rebuilt engine into my GXL. It would crank over all day long, I have checked numerous things and still it will not start. I have changed the complete engine harness to a known to be working one and still it will just crank. I changed the upper and lower intake manifolds thinking it might help, but no it didnt do anything.
<<if it matters, the OMP was blocked off and all the plugs/ hoses were blocked off so I could pre-mix>>

Can anyone help me diagnose my problem? Does anyone have an OBD 1 I can borrow in or near Orange County?

Anything you guys can think of post it or PM me as I need to get this running let me know.

OBD 1???

There is not such thing on a FC... you could make a tester out of a couple of LEDs and resistors, but there is no such thing as a ODB 1 diagnostic tester.

Not sure why, since no FC has that system. The OBD system on the S5 FC, is though the factory ECU, not through a diagnostic port like a GM OBD1 (which is really OBD1.5) or any OBD II car.

Usually motors don't start due to lack of spark and fuel not being injected. Both depend on the ENGINE fuse being good and the EGI fuses being good.

A digital meter is of more use to you right now than any other thing. Plus the FSM which can be downloaded for free from this site and the wiring diagrams.

Odd to have a series five afm on a series four. Did someone alter the plug that goes on the afm so it would fit/?????? IF not, then get a series four afm and install it. Also, if you rewired the afm plug, it seems you didn't realize the series five afm has no fuel cut switch as the series four does.

Try this and see if it works. Go to the fuel pump check connector (yellow, two socket plug near the right front strut tower area) and jumper it. Then try starting the engine again without pushing the internals of the afm.

EDIT: NEVER mind. I read your other post. You have bascically a series four car/ECU/harness/AFM.
