Help! Running bad!

Ok guys.. I've tried just about everything I can think of.. Hopefully you guys can figure this out.

87 TII
normal mods (exhaust, intake, etc)

Just put a jspec s5 engine in it (low comp. on rear rotor, but that's a totally different story)

Starts fine, but doesn't rev right. It has better comp. than the other engine I took out, and it ran better than this one does.

Anyway... It starts and idles and stuff.. you push down the gas pedal, and there are spots where it falls flat on it's face. I checked the TPS with an ohm meter and it looks fine.

Like you push down.... 5% throttle fine, 10%-20% runs like crap, 20%-? runs fine..

it's like there are dead spots in the throttle? That sounds like CLASSIC TPS, but the TPS specs out.. Help!!

When it falls on its face, does it sound like fuels cutting or ignition?

I can't tell.. It smells really rich, so possibly ignition?

It feels like it's running on 1 rotor when it falls on its face..

No, you can sit there and slowly push down the gas pedal and there are 2 distinct points where it falls on its face. It's the wierdest thing I've ever seen..

When you're out on the road in boost, it runs fine and feels fine.. Under light throttle tho it runs like crap (the 2 points are at maybe 10% throttle and 17% throttle or so)

Do you have another TPS from a friend or something that you can throw in there? I got a nice used TPS from Banzai Racing in IN for $30. Couldn't hurt.
