help repairing tb's secondary plates dashpot slide

help repairing tb's secondary plates dashpot slide

i am in the process of cleaning up my throttle body but i have found that the peice that rides against the secondaries dashpot has broken.



does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

I'm not familiar with this part, but it looks like the part that broke off was rivited in place. Assuming theres a bit of clearance on both sides, I'd just get some rivits from a hardware store

A good epoxy might work. I had one of those CAM pieces fail on me and it kept the throttle open when I had lifted off the pedal (broke in pieces and jammed the throttle linkage).

so just any epoxy will work?

An epoxy probably will work, since the piece is plastic. I wonder about that testors model glue too...
