Thrust bearing problem

So I have been rebuilding my engine, I was very careful with the thrust bearing during engine assembly it did not get crushed I torqued the eccentric bolt down when engine was vertical. But foolishly enough a little later down the road my engine is complete and I realized I didnt put locktite on my eccentric bolt. The engine is already in the car and all hooked up. So without hesitation I go out pull the bolt out throw some locktite on it and reinstall the bolt. Now after thinking a little I realized what I had done, I'm almost positive my thrust bearing fell out of place. Ive looked around for how hard it is to replace thrust bearing while the engine is in, people pretty much say good luck not pinching the thrust bearing while the engine is horizontal. Any tips or pointers? This motor has zero miles on it and I really don't want anything bad to happen. Is it possible to install it with the motor in the car?

If you only took the front bolt out you should be ok. If kept the front main
pulley in place when you took the front bolt out. You should be fine.

Hmm I definetly didn't mess with the pulley I thought for some reason I was supposed to do the clutch depression trick,(which i didnt do) any way I can check to make sure the thrust bearing is ok besides pulling off the front cover?

not really. If you are really worried about it. Only way to really see its ok is to
take the front cover off and take the front assembly group apart again.
I personally would only do it with the engine out of the car. Because as your
putting everything back together after checking it. They could still fall out of place.
