help putting steering wheel back on...
ok so i have done the forum search many a times. and there is really no clear answer on how to fix the 5 beeps. i have aligned my blinker "tabs" to be at 3 and 9 o clock. but it still beeps. what am i doing wrong?

Beeps? Aligning blinker switches? Wha? Are you referring to the power steering computer beeping at you? If not, what's "beeping?"

i get the 5 beeps, steering wheel not aligned. when i girst put it on i swear i didnt touch anything. but i guess i did and its been beeping for like 3 months and i cant ******* stand it.
see the two little points on each side of the steering wheel bolt at 9 and 3 o clock? is that what has to be aligned correctly for the beeping to stop?

5-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of steering sensor signal: Steering sensor is mis-aligned or failed or steering wheel has been improperly installed.
If you look at the white plastic (Turn signal cancel) on the left side is an arrow in the 9 o'clock position. On the collar that turns there is also an arrow. These need to be pointing at eachother. Then simply put your steering wheel back on.
Your steering wheel being a little off center will not cause an error beep. Blinker tabs are what kill your blinker after a turn, assuming of course you use blinkers.
I think you may have answered your own question but need to understand the problem (and maybe the car) a little better.

Been there, done that
As I recall, there is a pair of wires running inside the center hub of the wheel positioning sensor. If you turned it one half turn or more than dead center, even though the two nubs line up you would be out of alignment as far as the sensor is concerned.
With the wheel off, GENTLY turn the center hub (that has the two nubs) clock wise until you feel resistance. Then, counting each turn, turn it GENTLY the counter clockwise until you start to feel resistance (the wires at their binding limit). Then, turn it clockwise HALF the number of turns and you should have it centered again. It being now centered, your beeping should go away.
If it doesn't, then you have a damaged sensor. Easy remove and install from most any Pic a Part.

ok sweet you get my question. ive turned it like 30 times, no difference in resistance.
Wait.. just got something....
There's 4 wires coming off that white piece.. (take off your column shroud/surrounds)... unplug the 4-pin connector and test it that way... The green wire with black stripe and green wire with red stripe.. between those two, I get resistance changes.

Okay, well, after playing with it.. I got irritated and couldn't figure the damn thing out.. so, I ripped it apart, cleaned it up, and figured out how to test the thing.. or atleast pretty close.
So... To properly test it, you need to have the steering wheel connected to ground the spring-loaded piece , but with it off, you can test it pretty good. I recommend ripping it apart and cleaning the contacts while you have it off/accessible. Mine was pretty gunked up.
So, put ohmmeter between Green/Yellow and Geen/Black, rotate it so the arrow points 10:30... Then, go back and forth until you feel resistance and measure some as well... it'll be tricky, but if you can eventually measure full continuity or REALLY close to it, its good...
Then, put your ohmmeter between Green/Black and Green/Red and do the same at the 7:30 position... Should be able to get full continuity or really close to it.
That should be it I think.... I think there's one more pole, but I haven't figured that one out yet.

but the thing that blows my mind is.....why did it beep in the first place. cus i have always had the arrows lined up....and my power steering is fine according to a shop i took it to.
