Help Please - US '87 Turbo II with N/A Automatic Trans?
Hey Everyone,
I found an '87 turbo II for sale. The car at some point recieved a transmission swap to an automatic (ugh). Does anyone know how I could tell if the auto was a US spec N/A auto or a JDM turbo auto? If it is a US spec N/A auto, will it handle the increased power from the turbo motor? I tend to be a bit rough on transmissions
I am newbe when it comes to the rx-7 so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

He wants to know how he can identify wether or not it is an NA auto or JDM turbo auto.... If its is a turbo auto then he should be ok.
NA autos do suck though... really really hard. If thats what you have don't expect it to last long on a turbo motor, they don't last long on NA engines as it is.
JDM turbo autos are not terribly common, I dunno if your going to find many people that have experience with them.
Can an NA auto even bolt up to a TII engine? If the answer is no then you probably have a turbo auto.
