Talking Help Please with engine!!!

I have an 86. when I crank car it runs for about 3-5 seconds then shuts down. It does the same thing over and over again. Soon as you crank it you can high rev it or pat gas and it runs fine but only for 5 or so seconds. Can anyone tell me what this could be.

Thanks, Joe

Your intake system has a leak somewhere. Sounds like the AFM isnt opeining. Check your entire intake runner and make sure its intact. Then check the AFM to see if its plugged in.

AFM is the air flow meter. Its below the air filter, silver box.

yeah i agree with j-rat, check the connection first, or it might be that if you cleaned the engine bay you might have shorted it out
