help with pilot bearings

I've just done my 6th clutch{i work at a shop}, i just cant get the old pilot bearing out with out a hammer and chisel, chipping it out piece by piece. I've got moer and more rotarys in to the shop because of word of mouth, not to many general repair shops work on them around here. Any ideas would be good.

I use a dremel or die grinder and cut the bitch out. I hate doing those. There is a universal pilot bearing removal tool for like $28 I've been meaning to pickup. I've heard of others using it on rx7s....

Get the Mazda SST pilot bearing removal tool.
It makes removing pilot bearings a 30 second affair.
You'll be kicking yourself for not getting it earlier.

Some of the smaller jaws pilot bearing pullers will work.
I've used a Cornwell one and a generic one from Post Tools (NorCal) with success.

A GM lifter removal tool at carquest works like a charm. 18.00 well spent.

Wear gloves as the slide hammer will catch your hand if your not careful
