help...passenger front brake line broke

help...passenger front brake line broke

does anyone know any other way to take out the brake hose?? it broke while i was taking out the struts...the bolts are so rusted and cannot be taken out

any advice?? thank you

You're going to need to get the connection to the caliper loose, so spray WD40 like crazy. You can replace the hardline with braided SS hose; parts stores/ebay/mazdatrix should be able to get you one.

thanks for the reply

the the main problem is that the connection between the caliper and the hardline is so rusted (even after sprayin crazy WD40) the grooves are all messed...keeps slipping, so i can't unscrew the hardline to replace it

Probably stripped the threads on the caliper. Just get a rebuilt caliper and a new hard line, the 4 pots are only $35 each where I live with exchange.

why not replace the Hard line From the Proportioning Valve,Down to the Flex line?/.If the line is real rusted,then Just replacing what just blew,may result in failure somewhere else.The Hard line on the Proportioing valve can be Shaped fairly easily By Hand,and doesn't have to be Mazda Stock.Just get a piece of Steel line with connectors from Napa.(Metric fittings)
