Get a real radiator. What 180 stat? Just use the Mazda one and replace the cap while you're at it.
Make sure all shrouds are in place.

Stock radiator is good for stock power output.

Overheats per dash gauge??? or overheats by blowing/boiling the coolant out??

i have a 3.8 turbo buick engine in my car putting out 650 hp to the wheels. when i had the conversion done i thought the radiator would work but it doesn't. would an aluminum radiator help? i have aftermarket gauges and my temp reaches 250 degrees.

650hp, what the f^&k are they putting in that Wisconsin drinking water? The stock radiator could just about keep the 160hp rotary cool.
You need bigazz radiator with a gargantuan fan. Good luck. Must be hell of an adrenalin rush to drive that thing.

Heres a thread concerning radiator size and fitment:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=99657

And for the fan, either use a dual 12" setup or go for a single 16"-18" electric if it fits.

The electric fan will make your car run hotter.

You need to upgrade to a better rad. Fluidyne makes a unit that is only very slightly larger than stock, but is vasty superior in cooling capacity.

Thats stupid. Tell that to the owners of millions of vehicles that have electric fans.

Heres another stupid quote, "The mechanical fan will make your car run hotter".

See, whats it missing. PROOF!
