Help Me Please, Having Trouble With My 1988 Gxl

When I Drive I Cant Smell Anything, But My Friends Stand Outside And They Say They Smell Something Awful, It Doesnt Sell Like Gas Or Anything, My Friend Said It Could Be The Clutch Or The Flywheel, But Would That Have A Smell, Im Not Sure, And I Was Wondering, I Heard That Roteries Take Alot Of Oil, So Do I Refill It Or Something? If I Do When? Thanks

rotaries just run very rich and smell. make your eyes water. sorta rotten eggish

if it smells like straight out gas. and not from your exhaust, but your engine bay. be sure to check your fuel pressure dampener and do not drive your car if possible until you find out if it is the FPD or not.
This will leak fuel out of your fuel rail and it will drip onto your exhaust and cause an engine fire. You will smell straight out gas from your engine bay.

maybe its brakes or clutch......dunno. they both have a smell. kind of hard to explain over the internet. Hopefully you have a friend who is a mechanic. Let him smell it. Any decent mechanic should be able to tell you what he smells.
Does your clutch slip?

And a properly running rotary w/ the factory OMP (oil metering pump or something like that) will eat 1qt per 1,000 miles. You will just have to add a quart between oil changes. Your car actually injects oil from your oil pan into your engine to lubricate it. This doesnt mean your engine is screwed up if it is drinking a little oil. I just added a qt today infact.

Good luck
