When should I rebuild my 4 pot calipers???
i recently bought a set of 4 pot (front calipers), i think theres around 120k - 150k miles on them...was wondering if i should rebuild them or not???
if i should rebuild them, where can i get a rebuild kit???
Thanks
(BTW: are the rear calipers all the same???
also, what kind of rotors do i need for the 4pots to fit on my car??)

rear calipers are single pot
fronts have vented 10.9 or something, and rears take a SLIGHTLY smaller vented rotor. So you have to have front for front and rear for rear.
The single piston cars (4 lug bases and some 5 lug single piston series 5 cars) have single piston front and rear with a vented front rotor and a non-vented rear rotor.
If they work, I wouldnt rebuild them. But rebuilding brake calipers from what I've been told/read is easy and not expensive. If you feel the need, then its not going to kill you.
You need mazda rx-7 86-88 4 piston brake rotors. Cheapest place to get rotors is probably e-bay. I'm sure shipping is expensive. But be warned that a lot of cheap e-bay stuff is unsuitable parts that other places won't sell. Not saying all, but you get what you pay for.
And if you plan on tracking your car do not get crossdrilled rotors. They will crack if you track your car. If just for the street then they are fine and add a very tiny bit of performance.
I would look for some Brembo OEM rotors. BAsically made by brembo to be the same thing that came from the factory.
I'm pretty sure that only the s4 bases (4 lug so easy to tell) and some s5's which were single piston were the only ones with single piston. So all other second gen rx-7's had the big brakes.
And no idea if the rear calipers are all the same, but the rotors are not.
