Exclamation Help me pick a clutch!!!

After my new turbo I soon realized I would need a better clutch. Heres what I would like. I need something that will hold 400+hp. I have been looking at ACT and Racing Beat 6 puck (spurng and unsprung) and so far they sound good but I have a concern: I just read that they will only last one year. I cant spend 400$ on a clutch every year. Also this car is going to be street driven (hard but on the street) Pedal pressure doesnt matter to me (220+lbs and i'm not that fat) but i would like something that will grab. Thanks guys!!

I've owned 3 cars with ACT clutches and not one has had a slipping problem. This is the ACT 2600 street/strip/heavy duty PP specifically. Of course i didn't have 400 HP, so maybe you might want to step it up a notch to the 6 puck.

Whoever told you that these particular clutches will only last a year is wrong. There are so many variables that take effect on how long your clutch lasts. If you are constantly dropping the clutch, slipping it out with higher RPMS, doing burnouts, of course your clutch won't last as long.

ACT Extreme pressure plate and full face disk is good for well over 450 hp.

I'm looking for a clutch too that will hold like 330 ft-lbs and more. ACT comes to my mind, but I would like a sprung 6 puck clutch. They are suppose to make a kit with a 6 puck sprung right now but no one seems to have tried it yet. Also the last time I checked their website I didn't see this clutch kit.

I could make a custom kit like act heavy duty PP with racing beat 6 puck sprung but it's not cheap.

6puck sprung.. I had a straight 6puck on my t2 and in my opinion it was way to abrupt for a daily driver. My rex is bridgeported with a TO4E turbo and fmic and I have had the cluch for 2 years now. Oh by the way it is an RB and my origional pressure plate was a dual friction but I switched over to the RB Street/Strip and I love my setup. Hope this helps.

Not about HP, it's about Torque, the HD PP is good for 330 FT-lbs I believe. And ACT for sure.
