Help me out with some small problems..

I recently bought a new 1990 GXL 2+2 but have a few things to do. Like tires, front windshield, brakes....

Now aside from things like brakes and windsheild etc... I was wondering if you guys could give me some advise on the following..

1.) Hydraulics and latch for rear hatch..
When i pull the latch under my seat it doesn't really do anything. The one for the fuel works fine though. Anyways I have to grab the base of my whiper and pull up to get the glass hatch to open. Also once i have opened it the hydrulics do nothing to keep the hatch open. Can i repair the 2 Hydraulics rods, or replace them cheap?

2.) The passenger window rolls down fine but when i press the button to go up it struggles and once has even stopped. This would be the motor correct? Should i goto pick ur parts and look for a good one thats working out of any car or just buy new from Mazda?

3.) Sunroof sticks sometimes but i believe all that needs to be done is the tracks cleaned and regreased right?

Thanks

Answers in order as they were asked. 1. If the hatch struts arent holding up, they are going to need replacing. I dont think they are rechargable. 2. its probably the motor but it might just need a relube. I would most likely just go to a junkyard and find one that works for ***** cheap. Sunroof- clean/regrease the rails. This problem is common in our cars. one simple fix is to push up everytime you open the sunroof (lazy way) hope this helps. -alex

1) I believe hatch struts are pretty cheap and if not, I don't know how easy they are to work on. You might as well buy them new.

2) It is more than likely just the motor. If you go to the dealer you're probably going to be out a whole lot of money. If you get a used one, the same thing is probably going to happen after not very long.

3) I think they all stick. Sometimes you can just greased the tracks and clean them, but a lot of the time they still wont work after that and you have to help them.

The hatch struts are not cheap as I recall. Priced them 2 years ago and ended up getting from a junk yard. If the wiindow goes down the the motor is most likely not bad. Remove the door panel, clean and lube the tracks with lithium or graphite. Clean the sunroof tracks, re-lube and keep clean and it should work fine.
