Help me figure this one out

OK now that ive got my engine done I need to diagnose my fuel problem.

The engine had full compression when I took it out, just smoked like mad to i rebuilt it. Now the problem with the car was it only ran on one rotor. The rear plug fouled in just 5 minutes of running.

THe car stunk like gas and had 40hp. Every now and then the car would surge and go into "full power mode" and run fine for about 20 seconds, then go back to one rotor.

Now, the front housing and plugs were perfect brown. The rear was BLACK on the housing and spark plugs.

Anyone know what could cause it to run so horribly rich on the rear that it wouldnt run. Well it ran, but would not idle under 2000rpm? Yea, I adjusted the TPS too ONly thing I can think of is a bad fuel injector on the rear.

Oh yea, and it would go all the way to the redline no problem, just took a while to get there due to lack of power.

Could it have been the EGR valve? I know the one thats on there is gone and doesnt even pretend to hold a vacuum.

Do some minor detective work first...
Swap the primary and secondary fuel injectors to see if the problem "switches rotor"?
