Help me choose a turbo for my build
Hi everyone!
I'm considering turbo-ing my 13B NA engine, and I was wondering which turbo you guys would recommend for my goals.
I am looking for quick spool, and about 350~400hp tops.
My engine is a 6-port S4 engine, this obviously means 9.4 rotors, and has a Pineapple Racing Streetport on Intake/Exhaust ports.
Please refrain answers like "just swap in a turbo engine", "get turbo irons", or "get turbo rotors".
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

How much screwing around would ya like to do Dan?
I am sort of Biased to the BNR Stage 3(stock s5 manifold and 3 inch RB downpipe).
Run an Rtek 2.1 and that is a cheap setup but gets you about 300ish HP.

A 60-1 would probably be a better choice for those power levels on a high-comp setup. The 35r will make more power, but it will do so at boost levels you probably won't be comfortable running (15+). The 60-1 is in its max efficiency range right at about the established safe limit of high-comp setups on pump gas.
Off course price is also a factor in this reccomendation, as you could probaly put together a whole 60-1 turbo setup for the same price as just a BB 35r.

LOL
I think the GT35R series would have better spool than the older turbos like the 60-1, and it would have more potential than the GT30R. The GTX30R may work well, but I am not familiar with these new turbos. A turbo vendor would be able to better match the turbo to the application if the OP provides him more information.

I'd go with a hybrid bnr turbo unless you have a lot of money to play with.
For the money a turbo kit will cost you , the bnr will do the same for much less. If you get a Gt35r you're getting a turbo capable of 500 whp when all you're looking for is 350-400 , and if thats base hp , thats only around 320-340 whp
