HELP with leaking TII diff

so i just replaced my rear end and swapped the same TII rear end for what i had, but i had to change the yolk to match up to the drive shaft because it already had the correct bolt patterns and when i put the new one in now it leaks out of the yolk. ive talked to a few parts stores and they say there is a crush plate in there? or it needs a seal? anybody know about this and how it can be fixed?
