help with intake

so this weekend i got hks intake for my car and when i was taking the old box out the part on the air flow meter where the presser sensor hooks up was un screwed so i was like no big deal i will just screw it back on so i did and then when i got the new intake all hooked up and started my car it stalled so i looked at all the hose and they where all tight so then i took off the connection for the presser sensor and saw that one of the wires connectors was broken off so does this mean i have to get a new air flow meter or can i fix or can i run my intake with out

Ok, take an exacto knife, or any knife you feel is fairly sharp. Cut the RTV around the black square/cresent plastic peice. Look inside.. Currently I can't find the picture of the inside circuits..maybe someone else will come along with it.

Anyways. There are 3 "E2" connectors in the front. Make sure none of them are crossing over. Attached the connectors to their appropriate prong (as per the diagram that hopefully someone will post). For the stalling, you're air/fuel connector is probably not hooked up right. Again, all of this is dependent on someone posting the diagram.

Why on earth are you cutting it open? There is no pressure sensor connected to the AFM.

If a prong in the clip of the AFM broke or bent try bending it back. If you can not you can attempt some crazy maneuver and try and fix it. Or try the for sale section on here and find a new AFM cheep. https://www.rx7club.com/a-100/
The fuel pump runs off of the AFM. As well the ECU get’s it’s AFM reading from this. If it appears absent or broke from whatever reason the car will start up and instantly die.

It looks a little toasty.

The afm electrical plug pulls straight off. You do not unscew anything on the afm to disconnect the connector.

The sensor in the afm is a Temperature sensor. The jobber with the black wires coming and going.

I've posted several scanned pictures of the internals of the afm. Go to Advanced Search. Put in afm and HAILERS and you should get a hit.

New/used afm. Most likely the ref v signal is getting drowned out by the afm which means no spark etc.
