HELP!!!!!!!!!! Idle and auto tranny.

I don't know if it is a vaccum hose or wtf it is... My car idles fine but when I put in in "D" (Automatic) it just wants to die, I have to use the gas and the break pedal at the same time when stopping. Can anyone help? I already did a search... No I will NOT swap to a manual tranny because another person who is handicapped uses the car sometimes so please stick with me here. I need help with this particular issue.

Well same thing happened to mine....never really found the problembut it can be a vacum leak or in my case I believe it was a ground, the one from the tranny to the motor/chassis. Never found out because now Im doing the swap but try looking into what I said.

Sounds like you might wanna idle that engine up under load. Put it in gear hold the brake and have someone hold the pedal until you can adjust the idle to keep the engine from stalling. Also check to see that the vacuum hose fromt he back of the intake tot eh tranny has not come off.

auto trannies present alot of load for a rotary which does not like now end load, so Id just idle it up and be done with it. DOnt idle it up more than about 900rpm, or youll tear the tranny out soon.
