Question Help: How Do I Make The ACV Pump Air Into The Cat Constantly?

i have an 88 n/a and i wanted to know how exactly do you trick the acv into pumping air into the car at all times. got one post where this was the question but it died out. and it says to remove and block the front upper vac hose. but the only one i can see is the one that connects to the air pump its this it? i just need to get past emissions then im going to hunt down the problem.

The front upper vacuum hose the other post is talking about is coming to the intake manifold just above the air control valve. It is one of two about 1/4" diameter. I believe you're looking at the air hose from the air pump.

Please excuse my ignorance, but why would you want to do that? Just curious because I'm about to test my ACV before installing a high flo cat. The original cat clogged shortly after a mishap with the UIM vacuum hoses, which were moved to get rid of the infamous pulastion dampener. Continuous air into the cat does what?

why not just run block off the acv and run the airpump output striate into the cat?

Run a hose from the smog pump to the split air pipe. If you look under the car there will be a small metal pipe that runs up from the cat to the 5th and 6th port gizmo. The rest is up to you.

ok then leave acv, but run the tube from the airpump under the uim. Without taking apart the uim how would they know the difference? I dought the inspector sees many rotary...

What i was really wondering is what effects would having the airpump always running to the cat have?
