Question Help with hoses

I have just done a three mods to my 88 TII since I had it all taken apart. Now I have a few questions, since it didn't start up when I was done.

1st Mod - Throttle Body taking off plates and cold start assist
I ended up with one hose that I didn't know where to connect it to. It went into the cold start assist. What should I do with it? It is picture called TBhose.jpg and it is the red hose with the green valve on it.

2nd Mod - Removed Air Pump
There was a neck coming out of the engine that had a hose going to the Air pump. After I removed the pump, I took off the neck and sealed the hole. Is it alright to seal this up if I put a split air cover on also? This picture is called sealed.jpg and you are looking at the plate with 2 screws in it. It is located right behind the intercooler pipe coming out of the turbo.

3rd Mod - Turbo Inlet Duct
I made a new TID. I have 2 questions about this. If there are leaks in this, wouldn't the car start, but idle roughly? Last question, there was a hose that used to go into the old TID. Where should I put this hose now, or do I have to use it? The picture of the hose is called TIDhose.jpg.

I guess I'll post the 2nd and 3rd pics next
TIA, hopefully I haven't done anything too stupid.

so it just cranks but doesn't start? does it do anything?

it should start if the TID has leaks. the hose should got back into the TID. but that will not stop if from starting.

are you sure you pluged the AFM back in?

It started for about 3 seconds on the second try, but then it wouldn't start again. It has been sitting for about 3 months because I took so long finding time to work on it.

I plugged the AFM back in. I was starting to think it was flooded or lost a little oil seal on the rotors since it sat so long without starting.

I would rather not have to do the ATF trick on it. I'll pull the fuse first give it a few cranks, then see if it starts.

Any more suggestions are welcome.

you took out the plates so u dont need that red silicone or rubber hose there.. i am pretty sure you can leave it open.. there is no reason why i can see it wont start.. i would say try a push start and jump it.. maybe its flooded.. but that will get it to start... hope that helps
