Help: Hesitation, backfire on boost
I have an S5 TII and I just replaced my turbo with one that has a ported wastegate (I blew my last one cause it didn't and I have a 3" full RB exhaust) and now when I try to boost I get a backfirey jerky type thing happening... I took the stock boost control thing off (so it should only be at 5.5 psi) and on short test drives I'll try to boost and it does that (but I can boost a little before it starts), and when I get home the turbo will be red hot, sometimes starts to smoke, one time started leaking coolant. I checked the engine codes and it gave me an 01 which is the trailing coil, but I replaced that and the same thing happens.
any ideas?

I checked my plugs today, they looked fine. I have new wires in the mail, even though my current ones aren't too old. and I have a fuel cut defender on there so it isn't feul cut, even though that's what it sounds like.... (I don't have a a/f gauge)
