Pull the old, replace with the new... it really is almost that simple.

There are tons of writeups around... use your GoogleFu!

Did you ever jumper the fuel check connector and turn the ignition to on to check the original fuel pump?

^ +1, this is a good first step for the diagnosis.

You should also download a copy of the FSM.

1. Peel back or remove cargo area carpeting and driver's side side paneling.
2. Unplug fuel pump wiring harness 6-pin connector on driver's side strut tower.
3. With the access panel now exposed, remove screws and remove access panel to expose fuel tank/pump assembly.
4. Spray penetrating oil on the small phillips head fasteners which bolt the pump assembly to the tank.
5. Remove fasteners and uncouple fuel lines from pump assembly.
6. Carefully remove pump assembly, you will need to maneuver the assembly so as not to get hung up on the level float and pump mount.
7. Unplug, uncouple, and remove the old pump.
8. Replace with new pump and reassemble in reverse order.

^I would add to step 2 if your current fuel pump works, have the car running when you unplug the fuel pump harness from the strut tower so that it sucks the fuel lines dry, preventing from making such a big mess.

be carefull when u take the 8 little screws that holds the assembly in place. I have to soak them in wd 40 for couple days. then what I did was take a screw driver and use an hammer to get the screw driver deep in the screw so u get a good grip. then I used an impact gun and it came right out lol.
